Burton Walkway
Established in 2003 by the Burton Seniors, the Burton Walkway is 1 km trail that meanders along the Lower Arrow Lake between the Burton Historical Park Campground and the Burton Historical Cemetery. The walkway is accessible all year long and used by many local residents and visitors. It is considered an easy trail that can be walked or cycled. There are two trailheads, one located at the Burton Historical Park Campground and one located at the end of Lower McCormack Road (Cemetery Road). No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail.
The Burton Walkway is maintained by local volunteers called The Friends of the Burton Walkway. They are dedicated to the management and improvement of the Burton Walkway and Burton Historical Cemetery. Their role is to organize an annual trail clean up and oversee projects that improve the trail for visitors. If you would like to volunteer your time or resources to the maintenance of the trail, please contact us.
In 2022, the Friends of the Walkway initiated a project to map the Burton Walkway and surrounding cemetery area. Please see the map below of the Burton Walkway trail.
